Our commercial department deals with the sale, purchase, letting and valuation of shops, offices and factories as well as properties and land suitable for development.

Our experience and knowledge of local and regional markets enables us to provide comprehensive advice on commercial property matters.

We provide property valuations for taxation, probate and matrimonial matters. As members of the valuation panels of major clearing banks we carry out valuations for lending purposes.

Other departmental work includes negotiations of rent reviews and lease renewals, advice and claims relating to compulsory purchase and compensation matters, development, town planning and rating.

Surveys & Valuations

Whittaker & Biggs as members of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) offer a full range of surveys, valuations and EPCs services.

All valuations carried out are done so by qualified Chartered Surveyors who have many years experience in all types of valuations and surveys and have detailed local knowledge.

Formal Valuation Reports

We are able to undertake formal valuations of all types of property including residential, commercial, industrial, agricultural and leisure properties for whatever purpose including Probate, Matrimonial, Court Proceedings, Taxation, Gifts and Family Division.

For anyone wishing to buy property we offer a range of survey and valuation reports including the very popular RICS Homebuyers Report.

EPC's - Energy Performance Certificates

Whittaker & Biggs have members of staff that are fully accredited for the assessment, production and lodgement of residential EPCs (Energy Performance Certificates).

Under the European Performance of Buildings Directive (EPBD) the vast majority of property in the UK requires an EPC on sale, letting or modification.
